Welcome to the electronic bulletin Healthy Living, a quarterly newsletter designed to keep speakers on healthy lifestyles to make efforts to promote physical activity, healthy eating and healthy weight throughout the country. The newsletter is prepared by the Agency for Public Health of Canada (PHAC), on behalf of healthy lifestyles (GMVS) Network cross-promotion of healthy lifestyles.
 The draft Rural Route to Active Aging (seniors regions in Action) offers resources intended to promote physical activity to increase opportunities for adults (55 to 75 years) to make the activity physics in rural areas. Printed materials and those available online are designed for doctors, community leaders and elders. The project aims to improve the health of Albertans in rural areas through education, community activity and physical activity throughout life.The strategy Honoring Our Health, An Aboriginal Tobacco Strategy for British Columbia (in honor of our health, a strategy Aboriginal fight against smoking in BC), is promoting the health and welfare of indigenous peoples and respect their traditions by encouraging the abandonment of the misuse of tobacco. Indigenous representatives of regions trying to mobilize communities to create an environment that will promote and strengthen the activities of the fight against smoking. For more information.More than 120 communities in the BC presented a funding request to improve food security in the framework of the Community Food Action Initiative (Initiative for Community Action on the food). The regional health authorities of the BC encourage communities across the province to seek small grants to help them prepare and take measures to improve food security. A provincial advisory council is assisting in the planning of provincial food policies in capacity building and in the evaluation and research. A preliminary assessment should be published in spring 2008.

A new study by the University of NorthUmbria will assess how healthy eating affects behavior and academic performance of children in primary classes. Students from eight elementary schools in North Tyneside, England will experience during 12 months four options as part of a balanced diet, to assess the benefits of this mode of food.
 This study is a response to growing concern about the rise of obesity and the effects of a diet rich in sodas and fatty foods. The results could provide new arguments to the supporters of withdrawal of fatty foods and sugary drinks in schools.

You recently, in a personal capacity, expressed your opinion on agriculture biological stating that you do not "believe" that it can feed the world, thus challenging the outcome of the international conference held in Rome from 3 to 5 May under the aegis of FAO Which claimed that more than thirty years of experience on all continents, farming had demonstrated its capacity to feed the entire world population as well as conventional agriculture, without nuisances generated by the latter.

If I had to make my contribution to the debate about this new unnecessary controversy on "cinema and hunger in the world," j'inverserais rather the question: "Does Agriculture Industrial can feed the world? Expected for that 'moment it is not managed and there, in spite of the green revolution, the number of undernourished people has aggravated the past 30 years, while its negative effects are becoming more obvious and devastating.
